this year, nasa marked a major milestone in its Deep Space Optical Communications program: they’re working on using lasers to send data instead of slow ass radio waves. to prove the concept, they decided to send high quality audio and video to a spaceship as far away as mars
Fernando Grostein Andrade and Fernando Siqueira of Cosmic Dog Studios got tapped in by legendary pop producer Fernando Garibay to create the test material: basically a highlight reel of human life set to a beautiful orchestral and pop soundtrack: i got the privilege to record and edit the vocal chops (“this is a test”). music i helped produce has successfully been beamed into space
